BDA Alumni Q&A Event Recap
BDA Alumni Q&A Event
hosted by the BDA Student Advisory Committee
Two weeks ago, the BDA Student Advisory Committee hosted their first-ever BDA Alumni Q&A Event. Created to enhance the network of current and past BDA students and offer opportunities for students to receive valuable advice about career path choices and goal-setting, the Q&A event included around 25 alumni and students. While many alumni have successfully paved their way into architecture programs and firms such as Cunningham, Wold, and Perkins and Will, other alumni sought careers outside the traditional paths including graphic design, interior design, and advertising, and provided assurance and advice to current BDA students who look to do the same. The gathering was a great way to help current and past students connect and create meaningful relationships, and aimed to help foster a sense of community, support, and guidance within the BDA program. It was exciting to give students the opportunity to see how our innovative alumni paved their own path, in hopes of giving them the tools to do the same.
The BDA Student Advisory Committee was thrilled to host such a wonderful event and were grateful for all those that participated. We hope to host another in the Fall and are working to maintain our alumni relations as they are an excellent resource for BDA students in regards to turning our degree and varying interests into tangible career paths.
