Dutch Complex Housing Research Project - Professor Julia Robinson
Professor Julia W. Robinson
On this semester's team for my research project, "Dutch Complex Housing," are four undergraduate students as well as one graduate student (pictured below: Eddie Palka, Yujing Su, Hayden Rensch, Brittany Klingler, and Jinguang Xie). Hayden, Brittany and Jinguang have UROP awards, Eddie and Yujing (the graduate student) are Directed Study students. The team is making drawings of plans, unit typologies and syntax diagrams for my book and upcoming exhibit (Fall 2016). We meet as a team once a week and keep each other informed on how the work is progressing and also discuss articles we have read about housing and urban design. I have been working with graduate and undergraduate student researchers on the project for a number of years. So far I have worked with 7 graduate research assistants and 9 undergraduates on this project. This research, supported by a variety of sources (the UROP program, the Imagine Fund and the School of Architecture) is dependent upon the fine contributions of these student researchers.
