Minnesota has been a leader within these advancements, integrating emerging tools and processes into the design studio setting and testing their roles in education and practice.
Why is architecture a social act?
Architecture has the potential to be both an expression of a community as well as an influential shaper of the relations and welfare of that very community. We approach our curriculum with the conviction that architecture is in service to the communities for which we design, and we instill a habit of engagement in our students throughout their education. Early core coursework integrates service learning, and the tradition continues by providing diverse opportunities to contribute both locally and globally.
